Crystal Swiss Transfers by Train
The UK’s largest skiing holiday operator, Crystal Ski, has announced that transfers to it’s Swiss resorts will now be by train instead of by coach, commencing with this coming ski season.
Having experienced the excellent Swiss Travel System I, for one, can fully appreciate the benefits. Not only are transfer times considerably shorter but the ‘carbon footprint’ of travelling to resort is also drastically reduced.
The last time I used the service, we said goodbye to our luggage at the airport train station and didn’t see it again until we reached the hotel reception.

As an additional incentive, Crystal Ski are offering a free first class upgrade to all customers who book before 15th December 2016.
The Swiss Travel System works so well as the timetables of both the regional and interregional networks are programmed to meet in the hub of most stations. usually on the same platform further reducing transfer times.
Crystal offer holidays to 5 of the top Swiss resorts, Saas Fe, Zermatt, Wengen, Engelberg and Grindelwald, al of which have train stations in resort. The exception to this is Saas Fe which incurs a short coach transfer from the nearest station.
The ski holiday prices remain the same as before despite the improvement in transfer times and convenience.
